The beauty of Rome Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. A spree to Fort Stanwix National Monument is worthwhile, and if you come at the right time of year, Fish Creek - East Branch offers some perfect whitewater. Float down the rapids of Mohawk River in a kayak, and the skiing at Snow Ridge is good. Through the summer here at Rome Reservoir, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, commonly in the 50's.

This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at CMA Campground, and a day on the slopes of Woods Valley is just what you need. If only every
spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be. While you're here at Rome Reservoir you can play some golf at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course, and Paul Revere Lodge is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Don't forget to take a good little journey to Big Gulf, and there are plenty of folks from Utica-Rome here.
