Rockland Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Summertime at Rockland Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Rockland Lake. The Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best, and Trough Hollow is a tremendous location to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful

| | places, why not have a look at Congers Lake in close proximity to Rockland Lake, and Rockland Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Beaver Pond is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. From Rockland Lake you get a fine view of Hook Mountain, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Popolopen Creek. is a splendid spot to get some rest. A great deal of precipitation falls at Rockland Lake; the month with most of the rain is July, and February on the other hand is the driest. There's so much to do here at Rockland Lake that
you need to camp here for a while, Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is a good place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Green Inn Motel On the Lake. What a place this is for outdoors folks. If you're a golfer then a good nearby course
is Manhattan Woods Golf Club, and whitewater paddling is great on Ramapo River. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Rockland Lake; Woodtown Trail is a delightful local trail, and Verdrietege Hook is pretty close. While you're here at Rockland Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby New York-Newark-Edison.
