A visit to Rock Pond is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Rock Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hoss's Country Campground, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Cedar River. Rock Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Man, is there a lot of cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. There's so much to do here at Rock Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Long Lake Camp is a pleasant
site for that, and there's fine hiking along the Sucker Brook Trail.
Lakes are such calm locations, why not explore Blue Mountain Lake near Rock Pond, and fine hiking is available along the Northville Lake Placid Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Bluff Point is in close proximity to Rock Pond and is a good location to stop at, and dry warm beds await you at Woodlake Inn. There are other places here than Rock Pond, for example Crystal Lake,

and paddling on Raquette River is so much fun.
All through the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 70's at Rock Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Rock Pond during the winter ordinarily descend into the 0's. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too tremendous to be true. All the water falling down from the sky makes Rock Pond a wet spot; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
