     The beauty of Rock Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. Have a great hiking adventure along the Sucker Brook Trail; get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Cedar River. An average amount of precipitation falls at Rock Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most  
   rain; the driest month of the year is February.
During the summertime months at Rock Lake highs are typically in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Rock Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Whispering woods is a tremendous location to camp, and possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Barker Pond is just a
 
               very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Northville Lake Placid Trail is nice fun, and the vista of Sawyer Mountain is lovely.
That right there is plenty of amusing things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. There's whitewater on Rock River for all you adrenaline junkies; don't forget to take a nice little trip to Dun Brook. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining things just keep reading. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Gore Mountain, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail.
