Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Lake Rippowam. Camping at Camp Kiwi is always a pleasant experience, and you can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Thunder Ridge. If you get bored of Lake Rippowam, you could also have a look at close by Oscaleta Lake, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Norwalk       River. Why not have a look at a swamp like Pumping Station Swamp since you're here at Lake Rippowam, and Hilton Garden Inn Danbury is a good site to get some rest. A lot of precipitation falls at Lake Rippowam; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. A great site to camp here at Lake Rippowam is Mountain Workshop, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Tenmile. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing                  awaits you at Woodbury, and if you need a place to stay Springhill Suites By Marriott Danbury is a nice choice. Lake Rippowam is not the only spot close by, Lake Waccabuc is a close by lake; during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown for sure. For the period of the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Lake Rippowam, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Rippowam. This lake is so wonderful.
