High temperatures at Rio Reservoir during the summertime months are in the 70's; the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Rio Reservoir temperatures dip to the 10's. Good hiking is available along the Lost Cabin Trail. There's so much to do here at Rio Reservoir that you need to camp here for       a while, Kittatinny Campgrounds is a magnificent location for that. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Rio Reservoir. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Rio Reservoir; Schiff Trail is a pleasant local trail, and dry warm beds await you at Hotel Fauchere. You can run the rapids of Mongaup River near Rio Reservoir, and skiing at Holiday Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do. Best Western Inn At Hunt's Landing is a good location                  to get some rest, and a great site for whitewater paddling is Delaware River. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Metauque is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and if you came to camp Tri-State RV Park is a brilliant site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Peenpack Trail. If you're here at Rio Reservoir, you could explore Bush Kill, and do take a look at Echo Lake, it's a lovely lake.
