    Do stop by Rings Pond while you're in this part of New York. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Rings Pond. Breeds Pond is a great lake right next door to Rings Pond; close by you come across the Appalachian National Scenic Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Black Rock is gorgeous and can be spotted from Rings Pond; get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Popolopen Creek. During  
   the months of summer highs here at Rings Pond get into the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Rings Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Rings Pond. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge West Point is a great choice. A delightful lake like Aleck Meadow Reservoir in the neighborhood of Rings
 
               Pond is a glorious spot to explore, and beautiful scenery and great skiing is what you acquire at Mt. Peter. Why not pop by nearby Moodna Creek since you're here at Rings Pond, and Rings Pond is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Beaver Pond is a perfect site to camp nearby.
Gotta ski! Sterling Forest is a magnificent place to do that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Moodna Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Rings Pond has to offer, you can camp at Sebago Cabins Harriman, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Stillwell Lake Trail. A good close by hotel is New Windsor-Days Inn West Point/Stewart Int L Airport, and going for a hike on the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail is always a pleasant adventure.
Rings Pond frequently gets lots of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. Black Rock Hollow is next to Rings Pond and is definitely a delightful location to take a look at; close by you locate Plum Point.
