If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Riga Lake. Having a pleasant time at Riga Lake is uncomplicated. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Catamount, and after a long day outdoors Simmon's Way Village Inn is a great site to spend a night or two. Riga Lake Dam has pleasant water scenery and it's in the vicinity of Riga Lake; since you're here, you could pop by Decker Brook. This lake is so wonderful.

There's so much to do here at Riga Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Taconic State Park Rudd Pond is a good place for that, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Bash Bish Brook. Undermountain Golf Course is a good golf course nearby. Head up to Ski Butternut and strap some skis to your feet, and get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Housatonic River. Dry warm beds await you at Johanna's
Motel & Restaurant, and if you came to camp Taconic State Park Copake Falls is a fine place to do that. So many enjoyable things close to Riga Lake, clearly amazing. You'll meet a lot of folks from Hudson here. An average amount
of rain falls at Riga Lake; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. At Riga Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the
50's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Riga Lake. The Northrop Trail is a splendid hiking trail next to Riga Lake, and if you get bored of Riga Lake you could also pop by close by Riga Lake.
