Very wonderful water scenery is available at Riga Lake Dam near Riga Lake, and going for a hike along the Elbow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. At Riga Lake you can see Thorpe Mountain, and if you need a spot to stay Sharon Motor Lodge is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at Grass Pond since you're here at Riga Lake; it's       nearby, and a day on the slopes of Catamount is just what you need. Riga Lake is not far at all from Hudson, and you can run the rapids of Bash Bish Brook. So many fun things to do at Riga Lake, so little time. Take a hike on the Northrop Trail, and if you've had enough of Riga Lake, Riga Lake is nearby. All through the summertime months at Riga Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter                  come with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Riga Lake. Have a good hiking adventure along the Indian Trail. There's so much to do here at Riga Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Waubeeka is a pleasant place for that. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Riga Lake has to offer, you can camp at Taconic State Park Rudd Pond, and don't forget to take a pleasant little visit to Decker Brook. From a precipitation point of view Riga Lake is a reasonably typical site; most of the rain falls all through May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Undermountain Golf Course, and Housatonic River is a tremendous whitewater spot close by. This spot is great, just check out all the entertaining things to do next to Riga Lake.
