| | Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Rensselaer Lake fall into the 10's.
The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Hickory Ski Center, and golf can be played at Town Of Colonie Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots | |

on Mohawk River, and camping at Earlton Hill is always a wonderful experience.
After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Albany-Turf On Western Ave., N is a fine spot to spend a night or two, and while you're here you will
meet lots of folks from close by Albany-Schenectady-Troy. Rensselaer Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; throughout June this area sees the most rain while February is frequently the driest month.
