Man, is there a load of fun things to do in the neighborhood of Reeds Pond. Gotta ski! McCauley Mountain is a pleasant place to do that, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Little Woodhull Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. You can run the rapids of Black River in close proximity to Reeds Pond,       and Reeds Pond is right by the Stone Dam Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Mink Lake, and do take a hike on the Forty Mountain Trail. These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a nice campground nearby, and do stop by Otter Brook if you're here at Reeds Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Trails End is a good place to camp; why not take a refreshing hike                  along the Twin Lakes Trail. Summertime highs at Reeds Pond frequently tend to be in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Reeds Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Black River, and beautiful scenery and good skiing is what you get at Woods Valley. Reeds Pond frequently gets a good deal of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
