Do stop by Reed Pond while you're in this part of New York. Camping at Reed Pond is glorious fun, Beaver Pond is a glorious local campground; Fairfield Inn By Marriott Spring Valley is a brilliant spot to get some rest. There are some great whitewater spots on Popolopen Creek; don't forget to take a great little tour to Muddy Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Woodtown Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ramapo

A golf course in close proximity to Reed Pond is Manhattan Woods Golf Club. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Hiking along the Sherwood Path is good fun, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Martins Lake. Take a hike on the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from New York-Newark-Edison here.

a spree to Gateway National Recreation Area is worthwhile. Reed Pond gets much water; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Through the warm months highs here at Reed Pond reach the 80's
with night lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Reed Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Sterling Forest is tremendous, and if you came for an overnight stay Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is a tremendous place to camp.
