After a long day outdoors Danbury Plaza Hotel is a great place to spend a night or two, and get wet paddling on Tenmile. Ray Lake is a good place of common rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay SpringHill Suites Danbury is a fine choice; you'll come across a striking lake called Green Mountain Lake. Throughout the days of summer at Ray Lake temperatures

| | are frequently in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Ray Lake dip into the 10's. While you're here at Ray Lake, you could also go to scenic Harmony Lake, and float down the rapids of Ten Mile River in a kayak. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Thunder Ridge, and camping at Kettletown State Park is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a wonderful location to do that, and while you're here and you like
golf, you can have a look at Dutcher Golf Course. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ray Lake; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a nice local trail, and why not pop by a swamp like The Great Swamp while you're here at Ray
Lake. Lots of people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown come to Ray Lake. You get a fine sight of Mount Tom from Ray Lake, and Brady Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at.
