     Not far from Rathbun Pond, you'll hit upon Gillespie Pond which is a beautiful lake, and Camp Catherine Capers is a glorious campground nearby. If you need a place to stay The Equinox is a wonderful choice, and you're sure to run into some friendly folks from Rutland here. The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa, Vermont is a tremendous place to get some rest. Summer at Rathbun Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the  
   50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Rathbun Pond temperatures fall to the 0's.
And that's not all you can do here at Rathbun Pond. Near Rathbun Pond you locate the Glen Lake Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail; a golf course close by is Lake St Catherine Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. The Bomoseen Hiking Loop is a delightful hiking trail next to Rathbun Pond; a wonderful spot to
 
               stop at is Bullfrog Hollow. The annual rainfall here at Rathbun Pond is about average; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Bomoseen State Park Campground; get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Mettawee River. Going for a hike on the Half Moon Pond Trail is always a great adventure, and there's some flowing water close by, Indian River is a stream you can explore while you're here. Lakes? Sure, Lake Saint Catherine is close at hand, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Poultney River.
