Summer brings highs in the 80's to Rapke Pond. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. A beautiful lake like Portner Pond next to Rapke Pond is a wonderful location to stop at, and popping by Fort Stanwix National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't       yet. You'll stumble on a stunning lake called City of Rome Reservoir near Rapke Pond, and you can stay the night at CMA Campground. Villages At Turning Stone RV Park is a great campground nearby, and everyone close by loves skiing at Woods Valley. Rapke Pond is a reasonably wet place typically with much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Paul Revere Lodge is a great site                  to get some rest; there's whitewater on Mohawk River for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Fish Creek - East Branch. At Rapke Pond you always meet someone from Utica-Rome, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn Rome is a nice place to spend a night or two. And that's not all you can do here at Rapke Pond.
