| | Lake Resort-business Ofc is a good campground here. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Rainbow Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Rainbow Lake. After a long day outdoors Wingate by Wyndham Ellicottville is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and Rainbow Lake is right by the Trail Number 9.

Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Olean, and paddling on Cattaraugus Creek is so much fun. An average amount of precipitation falls at Rainbow Lake; September is when you get the most rain here; February on the other
hand is the driest. You could also visit Timber Lake if you're here at Rainbow Lake; it's nearby, and the snow is delightful at Holimont.
This lake is so wonderful. Rainbow Lake is a fine location to camp, Wood Ridge Camping Area is a fine location, and whitewater paddling is nice on Cattaraugus Creek - South Branch.
