Rainbow Lake Resort-business Ofc is a good local campground, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Trail Number 4. Whitewater paddling is great on Cattaraugus Creek, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Holimont. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff close to Rainbow Lake. Rainbow Lake is a great place to visit for       more than one day, Elkdale RV Resort is a great place to camp nearby; in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cattaraugus Creek - South Branch. On a splendid day at Rainbow Lake you can take a hike along the Trail Number 5. A common amount of rain falls here at Rainbow Lake; most of the rain falls through September, and February is when it's the driest.
