Rabbit Pond is right by the Elk Lake Marcy Trail, and it's a splendid idea to explore North Creek. Through the summertime highs here at Rabbit Pond reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Rabbit Pond. So much exciting stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. In the event that       you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Balm of Gilead Brook; Carter Pond is a great lake nearby. Rabbit Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. If only every place had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Oregon Trail, and if you came to camp Wintergreen Lake Campsite is a great site to do that. Rabbit Pond is a good spot of common rainfall;                  the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. A delightful location for whitewater paddling close to Rabbit Pond is Hudson River, and pretty scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Gore Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Rabbit Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Smoke Rise Campsites is a good place for that; Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a pleasant place to get some rest. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains.
