Do stop by Queensboro Lake while you're in this part of New York. Moodna Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by; you can go for a hike on the Breakneck Ridge Trail. temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Queensboro Lake temperatures
fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Highland Falls is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Woodtown Trail is always a splendid adventure. And that's not
all you can do here at Queensboro Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Roe Pond, and a splendid close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny. This
is a tremendous area for people who like lakes. Silver Mine Lake is a lake close by. There's so much to do here at Queensboro Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sebago Cabins Harriman is a fine place for that. This lake
is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Sterling Forest, and while you're here you can play some golf at Central Valley Golf Club. Head up to Mt. Peter and strap some skis to your feet, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Popolopen Creek.
