    If you are in this part of New York make sure to pay a visit to Quarry Lakes. Near Quarry Lakes you find the Appalachian National Scenic Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and a fine close by hotel is Crowne Plaza Hotel White Plains-Dwtn, Ny. The sight of beautiful Kennelwood Hill near Quarry Lakes is wonderful, and do explore Kensico Dam since you're here. A lake nearby is White Plains Reservoir Number One, and Gutter Inlet is in the neighborhood and

This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Soundview Sports. Any time is a pleasant time at Quarry Lakes if you adore the outdoors. You have to definitely explore scenic Hawthorne Beach if you're here at Quarry Lakes; there are plenty of people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown here at Quarry Lakes. Cranberry Lakes is a nearby lake that you could pop by. There's so much to do here at Quarry Lakes that you need to camp here
 
               for a while, Camp Echo Lake is a great place for that.
This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Golf Club of Purchase is a glorious way to kill some time, and if you need a site to stay Residence Inn By Marriott Westchester is a pleasant choice. During the warm months at Quarry Lakes temperatures are usually in the 80's; the overnight is somewhat colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Quarry Lakes are in the 10's. Quarry Lakes sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month.

Do you have any pictures of camp henry?  My father went there in the 1920's.  The land was sold a while ago and now has a housing development on it....Lillian Wald had a camp on secor lake .Camp Henry.i am fortune enough to have been born on the block where Lillian started the henry street settlement. I am a 49yr who spent 10 summers of my life on lake secor 67-76..Actually I live in the settlement for 3 1/2 yrs. Amazing!...

KISSENA LAKE IS ONE BEAUTIFUL BODY OF WATER!! AND TO THINK, ITS IN NYC IN QUEENS COUNTY. THE SURROUNDING PARK IS GREAT ALSO!! SO MUCH TO DO HERE. ... ,and every Christmas the people of the surrounding lk. There were none on the east side of the lake at the time. Well we would collect our Christmas trees around fifty or so and dig them into the ice about forty ft apart and make two rows . Then we would all set a time and light em,, and we would skate , fish ,whatever the lines of trees ran from the n.west dock to the east..the clam bakes were held at the other lk..haven just up the stream that ran along my house..After the dam broke from lk haven the water flooded down into our house..What a flood..seems after that we sold the house to a fireman ,,and then our course by accident the house burnt down ,,and I thought fireman were supposed to put out fires not start em .hello to all that still prevail on chestnut ridge. yea I also went to school with Henry Winkler.. And back then we used to trick or treat all the way down to route six..camp sycamore well I still have my green card with the red paper wonder if its still good..the camp was but a lake with a cottage or two..and a cool as heck dirt road..I went to Austin rd elem.my age n...
