    Do stop by Quackenbush Pond while you're in this part of New York. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Snow Ridge if you're here, and a striking lake like Hogsback Pond is a magnificent spot to take a look at. A wonderful spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Quackenbush Pond is Oswegatchie River - West Branch, and a swamp like Carley Swamp in the neighborhood of Quackenbush Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see.  
   This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Natural Bridge/Watertown KOA is a good spot to camp, and some close by water includes Clark Creek.
A common amount of rain falls here at Quackenbush Pond; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Just can't get enough of Quackenbush Pond. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always
 
               go whitewater paddling on Oswegatchie River - Middle Branch. Through the warm days of summer at Quackenbush Pond highs are usually in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Quackenbush Pond tend to be in the 0's.
Camping is available at Natural Bridge K O A Camp Ground, and don't leave Quackenbush Pond without first checking out Palmer Ledge.
