A fine close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites; going for a hike on the Stillwell Lake Trail is always a good adventure. Purdy Pond really is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. If you came to camp Camp Echo Lake is a fine place to do that;       if you need a place to stay Edith Macy Conference Center is a brilliant choice. Purdy Pond is a quite wet place regularly with a large amount of precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Popolopen Creek; the smiling people of Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown like to hang out close                  by. All through the summer here at Purdy Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Purdy Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are nice locations to look at along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail; since you're here, you could also take a look at picturesque Rockhill Pond. Visit Indian Brook while you're here at Purdy Pond, and the sight of stunning Catamount Hill is good. Do visit Oliver Pond right next door to Purdy Pond, it's a pretty lake, and Moodna Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by.
