Holiday Mountain is a delightful local ski area, and not far from The Punchbowl you'll hit upon Mud Pond which is a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are magnificent; Lake Florence is a lake that's next to The Punchbowl.       Howard Johnson Inn Liberty NY is a delightful spot to get some rest, and get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Callicoon Creek - North Branch. You'll need more than a day to discover everything The Punchbowl has to offer, you can camp at Roscoe Campsites; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Schiff Trail. There's so much to do here at The Punchbowl that you need to camp here for a while, Russell Brook Campsite is a perfect site for                  that, and if you need a spot to stay Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a good choice. The Punchbowl gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month is February. All through the months of summer at The Punchbowl highs are typically in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
