Prier Pond is a great place to camp, Smoke Rise Campsites is a great place. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Prier Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Binder's Cabins; Brown Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. High temperatures at       Prier Pond through the days of summer are in the 70's; the overnight is slightly cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Prier Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Good hiking is available along the Oregon Trail; why not take a little tour to Bell Mountain Brook if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. You get a splendid sight of Bell Mountain from Prier Pond; float down the rapids                  of Thirteenth Brook in a kayak. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. What would winter be without some skiing at Gore Mountain; if you need a place to stay Garnet Hill X C Ski Center is a wonderful choice. The annual rainfall here at Prier Pond is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month.
