     Whitewater paddling is nice on Tenmile, and let's not forget Clove Brook which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Pray Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sylvan Lake Beach Park is a good place for that; there are wonderful locations to explore along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. All through the warmest time of the year at Pray Pond temperatures are typically in  
   the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Pray Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. A visit to Clove Spring will fill your spirit with good feelings, and hey, Gotta ski right? Thunder Ridge is a splendid site to do that.
Christie Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by; Ten Mile River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby. An average
 
               amount of rain falls at Pray Pond; through May this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. While staying at Pray Pond you could always discover Clove Valley, and Pray Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a pleasant local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Inn at Arbor Ridge and Cnf Ctr is a magnificent place to get some rest, and if you get bored of Pray Pond you could also pop by close by McKinney Pond. Man, is there a load of enjoyable things to do right next door to Pray Pond. Clove Mountain is a peak you can spot from Pray Pond; a good close by hotel is Le Chambord.
