What a nice lake Pray Pond is. There are perfect spots to discover along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. There's so much to do here at Pray Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sylvan Lake Beach Park is a fine place for that. Paddling on Ten Mile River is so much fun; Christie Pond is a delightful lake nearby. All the outdoors amusing things next to Pray Pond will keep you coming back over and over. Clove Spring is a glorious local attraction, and dry warm beds await you at Le Chambord. The annual rainfall here at Pray Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through May while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Tenmile, and Clove Valley is also a splendid location to discover.

local campground, and you'll perhaps meet some people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown here.
