A great deal of precipitation falls at Potake Pond; the month with most of the rain is November; February on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Potake Pond through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. | |

The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Potake Pond sink into the 10's. For you golfers we recommend close by Apple Ridge Country Club; unsurprisingly Stony Brook is
a scenic stream that is worth visiting. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Sterling Forest is in the neighborhood of Potake Pond, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Cannonball Trail. At Potake Pond you
always meet someone from New York-Newark-Edison; drift down the rapids of Pequannock River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Ramapo River, and the skiing at Mt. Peter is brilliant. This lake is so wonderful.
If you need a location to stay Courtyard Mahwah is a nice choice, and the Kakiat Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby. Do schedule some time to visit North Cape in the vicinity of Potake Pond if you have a chance, and New Sebago
Beach is a beach close by that you can pop by. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to The Bowl revives the soul. There's so much to do here at Potake Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp wabenaki is a perfect location
for that. After a long day outdoors Sheraton Mahwah Hotel is a great site to spend a night or two, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Pine Meadow Trail.
