Keefe, Jr.: My family used to own this lake, as well as the majority of the property surrounding it.  I grew up fishing this pond as a child (as well as deer hunting around it. Excellent bass and good perch fishing.  However, we sold most of the property a few years back.  Unfortunately, there is no fishing open to the public. However, most of the surrounding property is now privately owned and operated as summer camp for underprivaledged kids (my grandparents are surely smiling from above because of this).  You should check out the ''Camp Fiver'' website. Sure, Earlville Reservoir is close by, and if you need a spot to stay Howard Johnson Hotel is a perfect choice. There's so much to do here at Poolville Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Canaan Campground is a fine place for that, and a delightful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Binghamton-Vestal Pky. This lake is so wonderful. Poolville Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Lebanon Reservoir       Campground is a pleasant local campground, and playing golf is lots of fun at Mountain Top Golf Course. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Poolville Pond; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain while February is commonly the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Poolville Pond; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
