Near Pleasant Lake you find a golf course called Carlowden Country Club, and why not head up to Snow Ridge and strap some skis to your feet. There's whitewater on Deer River for all you adrenaline people; camping at Pleasant Lake is great fun, Twin Ponds Campground is a great local campground. Pleasant Lake is a splendid place to camp, Kelly's Travel Trailer Park is a splendid place, and Dry Hill is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood.
