Paddling on St. Regis River - East Branch is so much fun, and lakes are such calm places, why not explore Spring Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Childs Brook is a stream you can go to during your stay, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Malone. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Pitcher Pond and you like golf, you can pop by Malone Golf Club, and       during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Malone for sure. A gorgeous lake like Little Duck Pond near Pitcher Pond is a wonderful spot to stop at, and Deer River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Pitcher Pond highs are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's while Pitcher Pond night                  low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. The annual rain here at Pitcher Pond is about average; most of the rain falls during August, and the driest of the months is February. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mount Pisgah. Franklin State Forest Number Three is a fine local forest. There's so much to do here at Pitcher Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Deer River Campsites is a tremendous location for that. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Pitcher Pond. Econo Lodge Malone is a nice location to get some rest, and Limekiln Mountain is clearly visible from Pitcher Pond.
