You simply have to love the Adirondack Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Little River offers some wonderful whitewater; hiking is a popular thing to do around Pine Pond; The Loop is a tremendous local trail. The Adirondack Mountains       scenery is always beautiful. The yearly rain here at Pine Pond is about average; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Lakes? Sure, Readway Ponds is in close proximity, and Francis Hill can be spotted from Pine Pond. McCauley Mountain is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and if you came for an overnight stay Robinson's Iga is a great place to                  camp. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Getting to Little Otter Pond Outlet from Pine Pond is painless. At Pine Pond through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Pine Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
