Custom Search     Pine Pond     I used to summer at Knollwood on Lower Saranac Lake in the home of my grandfather Louis Marshall and where my uncle Bob Marshall and his brothers grew up. For a rare picnic treat we followed the Saranac River by guide boat as far as possible in order to reach nearby Pine Pond which had the cleanest lake water I have ever seen.
