neighborhood of Pine Lakes, and a day at Moffit Beach is time well spent. Having a tremendous time at Pine Lakes is painless. Going for a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty
of this region; Christine Falls is an inspiring site to pop by during your stay. Pine Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Places like Long Level are splendid to check out, and a tremendous location to camp here at Pine Lakes is Ranch Side Park.

 | 16 miles away Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-... |
