Go for a hike on the Schiff Trail, and getting to Birch Ridge Brook from Pine Lake is easy. Pine Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest month. Glide down the rapids of Delaware River in a kayak. Through the long summer days here at Pine Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Chipinaw is a delightful place to camp nearby, and paddling on Callicoon Creek - East Branch is so much fun. Hit the slopes at Holiday Mountain close by, as expected you could also take a look at Kenoza Lake since you're here; it's
not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Pine Lake you can play some golf at Island Glen Country Club, and Woodstock On The Lake Campgrounds is a good campground nearby.
