All through the days of summer at Pine Grove Lake highs are generally in the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Pine Grove Lake. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Bog Meadow is right close by; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Kakiat Trail. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Popolopen Creek.       This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Pine Grove Lake has to offer, you can camp at Baker Camp On Lake Sebago, and pretty scenery and nice skiing is what you obtain at Sterling Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Cannonball Trail is always a great adventure; swing by Pine Meadow Brook it's a fine place to stop at. Skiing at Mt. Peter is one of those things you just ought to do, and you can catch a sight                  of Daters Mountain from Pine Grove Lake. There's so much to do here at Pine Grove Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp wabenaki is a pleasant place for that; after a long day outdoors Sheraton Crossroads Hotel is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Pine Grove Lake. There is a perfect hiking trail in close proximity to Pine Grove Lake called the Pine Meadow Trail, and a great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Suffern, Ny. If you want to hit the beach, New Sebago Beach is around here, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ramapo River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Nearby lakes? Sure, Hillburn Reservoir is close to Pine Grove Lake; in the neighborhood of Pine Grove Lake you come across a golf course called Spook Rock Golf Course. Pine Grove Lake gets lots of water; most of the rain falls during May, and February is when it's the driest.
