     Go for a hike on the Northville Lake Placid Trail, and there's whitewater on Indian River for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. Puddle Hole is a nearby lake that you could explore; there are some perfect whitewater spots on Moose River - South Branch. During the days of summer here at Pillsbury Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are regularly  
   in the 20's; night lows at Pillsbury Lake during the winter ordinarily plunge into the 0's.
Pillsbury Lake is a rather wet place regularly with a good deal of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Man, is there a load of entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. There are plenty of folks from Gloversville here at Pillsbury Lake. There's so much to do here at Pillsbury Lake
 
               that you need to camp here for a while, Tioga Point State Campground is a pleasant place for that. Any time is a brilliant time at Pillsbury Lake if you fancy the outdoors. Going for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is always a great adventure, and Pillsbury Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Browns Tract Pond State Campground is a glorious local campground.
You absolutely have to like the Adirondack Mountains. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Pillsbury Lake called the Sucker Brook Trail; Noisey Inlet is close by and always great to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Pillsbury Lake, you could also visit nearby Bullhead Pond; a perfect vista of pretty Cobble Hill is available.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains.

Northville Lake Placid Trail

Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-...
