This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Jiminy Peak; lakes are such calm places, why not go to Crooked Lake. An afternoon playing golf at Burden Lake Country Club is always a joy; you'll hit upon a scenic lake called Rendert Pond. At Pikes Pond during the warm months highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. During the       winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Pikes Pond fall into the 10's. Just can't get enough of Pikes Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Castleton on Hudson/Schodack, and at Pikes Pond you can catch a sight of Bailey Mountain. So many enjoyable things to do at Pikes Pond, so little time. If you came for an overnight stay Alps Family Campground is a nice site to camp, and hiking along the Southeast                  Hollow Trail is great fun. Pikes Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; most of the rain falls during June, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites East Greenbush is a great site to spend a night or two, and Pikes Pond is right by the Brickhouse Mountain Trail. The Taconic Skyline Trail offers hiking at its best, and hey, Gotta ski right? Bousquet is a wonderful place to do that.
