Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Pico Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Pico Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Pico Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Go for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail, and Deadmans Gulch is positively a great spot to explore. Going for a hike on the Norridge Trail is always a fine adventure, and there's whitewater on Moose River - South Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This lake is so wonderful.
