     Pico Lake is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Pico Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Pico Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This spot, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Head up to McCauley Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; Knights Inn Little  
   Falls is a magnificent place to get some rest.
So much fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. Looking for something near Pico Lake? Cliff Pond is in the vicinity. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Pico Lake has to offer, you can camp at OLD Forge Camping Resort. Yeah, come here to Pico Lake for a great time. There are splendid spots to discover along the Twin Lakes Trail; golf can be played at Thendara Golf Club. This lake
 
               is so wonderful. The summit of Burnt Mountain can be made out from Pico Lake. There's so much to do here at Pico Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a magnificent location for that.
Pico Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Go for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail, and Deadmans Gulch is positively a great spot to explore.
Going for a hike on the Norridge Trail is always a fine adventure, and there's whitewater on Moose River - South Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Black River - South Branch close to Pico Lake, and you're in all probability addicted to lakes, Fox Pond is one of those close by.
