Do stop by Petersons Pond while you're in this part of New York. This lake is so wonderful. Why not pop by Charles Point also if you're here, and Moodna Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. Stay the night at Camp Discovery, and from Petersons Pond you get a good vista of Blue Mountain. You're in all probability hooked on lakes, Lounsbury Pond is one of those nearby; if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny is a splendid choice. Petersons Pond is right by the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and needless to say, this is a good vicinity for people who like lakes, Lake Mitchell is a lake in the neighborhood. Forest. Don't forget to take a delightful little tour to Dickey Brook, and Econo Lodge Highland Falls is a nice spot to get some rest. High temperatures at Petersons Pond through the days of summer are in the 80's. Summer night
lows sink down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Petersons Pond dip into the 10's. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting
warmed up. Take a hike on the Stillwell Lake Trail, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Popolopen Creek. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Woodtown Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Petersons Pond has to offer, you can camp at Beaver Pond.
