This lake is so wonderful. Penneywater Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sylvan Lake Beach Park is a great local campground; it's a tremendous idea to visit Sprout Creek. Penneywater Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic       Trail is brilliant fun, and Wappinger Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Popolopen Creek, and a splendid close by hotel is Le Chambord. Penneywater Pond really is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. A splendid site to camp here at Penneywater Pond is Clarence Fahnestock State Park, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express FISHKILL is a brilliant                  location to spend a night or two. Through the summer months here at Penneywater Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's while Penneywater Pond nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Dogwood Knoll Golf Course is in the vicinity. Lakes are splendid; Gayhead Pond is a lake that's close to Penneywater Pond. Going for a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Thunder Ridge since you're here. This lake is so wonderful.
