Penelope Pond is a wet site that gets a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. If you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge Highland Falls is a nice choice; whitewater paddling is perfect on Popolopen Creek. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here       at Penelope Pond, you could also take a look at stunning Lake Mitchell, and some of the water close by flows, like McGregory Brook. Paddling on Moodna Creek is so much fun; perfect hiking is available along the Stillwell Lake Trail. Camp Discovery is a pleasant local campground, and there's delightful hiking along the Woodtown Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is beautiful, you acquire a splendid sight of Blue Mountain from Penelope Pond;                  do stop by Camp Field Reservoir, it's a delightful lake. The skiing at Sterling Forest is delightful. At Penelope Pond during the summer months highs are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Penelope Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. So many entertaining things to do at Penelope Pond, so little time.
