While you're here at Peckermans Pond, you could also go to charming Cranberry Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Peckermans Pond; Stillwell Lake Trail is a tremendous local trail. High temperatures at Peckermans Pond during the summer months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures       at Peckermans Pond sink into the 10's. The skiing at Sterling Forest is brilliant, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge West Point. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny is a great choice; the Breakneck Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. There's good hiking along the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail; paddling on Moodna Creek is so much                  fun. This lake is so wonderful. Mt. Peter is a fine local ski area; while you're here and you like golf, you can visit Central Valley Golf Club. The sight of Adria Hill from Peckermans Pond is beautiful, and why not camp at Robert Moses if you're here at Peckermans Pond. Peckermans Pond is a wet spot that gets a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through May while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a scenic lake called Filers Lake near Peckermans Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp wabenaki is a brilliant spot to camp.
