Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Parsons Pond; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Parsons Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. There's so much to do here at Parsons Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Moose River Camp Grounds is a magnificent place for that, and       if you come at the right time of year, Independence River offers some tremendous whitewater. An average amount of rainfall falls at Parsons Pond; all through August this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Snow Ridge has great slopes and a friendly staff, and float down the rapids of Otter Creek in a kayak. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Parsons Pond. A lake nearby is Calfhead Pond, and why not stop by nearby Beaver Meadow Creek while you're here at Parsons Pond.
