Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Palmer Pond. There are nice locations to look at along the Spectacle Pond Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Mill Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more fun things to do       here in the Adirondack Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Lake George/Warrensburg Area, and float down the rapids of Hudson River in a kayak. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Adirondack Mountains is great! Lakes are such peaceful places, why not take a look at Dipper Pond close to Palmer Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Pharoah Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Gore                  Mountain, and camping at Camp Dippikill Office is always a wonderful experience. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Palmer Pond, for example Loon Lake, and enjoy a round of golf at Green Mansion Golf Course. Palmer Pond gets a typical amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. Man, is there heaps of entertaining stuff to do in the neighborhood of Palmer Pond. Palmer Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Smoke Rise Campsites is a great local campground, and a quick spree to Mill Creek is beyond doubt a fine idea. If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Lake George - Turf, Ny is a great choice; from Palmer Pond you get a tremendous view of Campground Mountain. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
