12 miles away 11-01-09 we did this yesterday for the first time. It was a wild ride with non-stop maneuvering, got very wet!I recommend wearing helmets....
Nine Corner Lake
13 miles away Been there several times and it's an enjoyable, short and easy walk. Our last visit there was somewhat ruined by a group of youngsters who felt they needed to bring their boom box with them as they sat on the shore communing with nature. Other than that - nice jaunt....Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike....
Cobleskill Reservoir
15 miles away I have been to this reservoir many times and highly recommend it to anyone. It's got good fishing and its a very big area to just go out and relax while trying to catch some dinner. I cant say I've caught many big ones but many many sunfish and smallmouth. I know there are trout in the upper pond and walleye in the pond furthest to the left. Also large and smallmouth bass are in all three. Great place to go....
