It has a normal surface area of 77 acres. It is owned by Suny College Of Environmental Science and Forestry. There are no motors allowed on the lake. No fires and no overnight camping allowed. Dogs must be on a leash. There is great fishing, canoeing and kayaking. An absolutely beautiful lake in the woods. That right there is a lot of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Gore Mountain; you don't must go far to enjoy Pack Demonstration Forest. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down       to Pack Forest Lake. Pack Forest Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Bakersfield East Campground is a magnificent local campground, and Pack Forest Lake is right by the Pharoah Mountain Trail. The Spectacle Pond Trail offers hiking at its best, and after a long day outdoors Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. Ben Wood Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and a perfect                  location to camp here at Pack Forest Lake is Ridin-Hy Guest Ranch. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. West Mountain has delightful slopes and a friendly staff, and while you're here and you like golf, you can check out Green Mansion Golf Course. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a perfect time.
