Oxshoe Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Oxshoe Pond gets a typical amount of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here while February is usually the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Echo Lake Southwoods is a great local campground. Lakes are pleasant; Goose Pond is a lake that's right next door to Oxshoe Pond. So many exciting things in the Adirondack Mountains, just phenomenal. You get

| | a great vista of Antwine Hill from Oxshoe Pond; if you like swamps you're in luck, Desolate Swamp is right close by.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel is a fine site to spend a night or two, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Pharoah Lake. There's some flowing water nearby, Pyramid Brook is a stream you can take a look at while you're here, and the Short Swing | |

Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Oxshoe Pond through the summer are in the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Oxshoe
Pond are in the 0's.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Schroon River, and don't leave Oxshoe Pond without first going for a hike along the Pharoah Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Putnam Creek, and there's pleasant hiking along the Long Swing Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains.
Be careful coming to Oxshoe Pond, you
might not ever wanna return back home again. Oxshoe Pond is a great site to visit for more than one day, Medcalf Acres Campsite is a great site to camp nearby, and a great nearby hotel is The Sagamore.
