Oxbow Lake is a rather wet place commonly with much rain; the month of August is the wettest with most       of the rain; the driest month is February. Drift down the rapids of Sacandaga River - West Branch in a kayak, and do stop by Little Lake, it's a stunning lake. Here at Oxbow Lake you can distinguish Buckhorn Mountain, and going for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Having a magnificent time in the Adirondack Mountains is simple. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Piseco Outlet, and if you're going to from                  Gloversville, you won't be the only one.
