    Why not stop by Owls Head Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Owls Head Pond, you'll hit upon Fishpole Pond which is a scenic lake, and Owls Head Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Legton is a wonderful local campground. Owls Head Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Skiing at  
   Mount Pisgah is one of those things you just should do, and there are plenty of folks from Malone here at Owls Head Pond.
Just can't get enough of Owls Head Pond. Salmon River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by; if you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel - Malone is a great choice. And if that's not enough there's heaps more enjoyable stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Lakes? Sure, Childs Ponds is close by, and as expected Barnes Brook
 
               flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at High Falls.
Econo Lodge Malone is a great place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Owls Head Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Deer River Campsites is a splendid site for that. From Owls Head Pond you get a wonderful view of Owls Head, and lovely scenery and glorious skiing is what you obtain at Titus Mountain. Lots of precipitation falls at Owls Head Pond; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month of the year is February.
At Owls Head Pond all through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Owls Head Pond during the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 0's.
