Do stop by Owen Pond while you're in this part of New York. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. An afternoon playing golf at Craig Wood Golf & Country Club is always a joy. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Ausable River - West Branch; everyone nearby loves skiing at Mount Pisgah. If you need a location to stay Huntington Motel & Cottages is a pleasant choice It's always good to have a look at Monument

This lake is so wonderful. A perfect nearby hotel is Hungry Trout Motor Inn; from Owen Pond you acquire a glorious view of Kilburn Mountain. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Camping at Lake Placid/Whiteface MT KOA is always a good experience; some exciting geology is available here, Moss Cliff is right here. night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Owen Pond plunge into the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Have a
brilliant hiking adventure along the Southside Trail; Coldspring Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Owen Pond is right by the Schwartz Trail, and if you're
stopping by from Plattsburgh, you won't be the only one. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains.
That right there is a heap already, but it keeps on going; Owen Pond has it all. A delightful site
to camp here at Owen Pond is Whispering Pines Campground, and if you desire a little side trip, try Sunrise Notch. Take a hike on the Johns Brook Trail, and the skiing at Whiteface Mountain is brilliant. The amount of rain that falls
at Owen Pond is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February.
