Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the neighborhood of Owen Pond. A tour to Owen Pond wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Monument Falls, and there are brilliant places to explore along the Schwartz Trail. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. After a long day outdoors Mirror Lake Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and       you can go for a hike on the Johns Brook Trail. Summertime at Owen Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while Owen Pond nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. Sunrise Notch is a brilliant place to have a look at close by, and a brilliant place to camp here at Owen Pond is Lake Placid/Whiteface MT KOA. You imagine that's enough? Just                  getting warmed up. From Owen Pond you acquire a perfect vista of Kilburn Mountain, and the skiing at Mount Pisgah is good. The amount of rain that falls at Owen Pond is close to the national average; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Copperas Pond; a day on the slopes of Whiteface Mountain is just what you need. Owen Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, KOA Kampgrounds is a nice local campground, and don't leave Owen Pond without first going for a hike along the Southside Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a pleasant choice, and you need to stop at Moss Cliff while you're here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Having a brilliant time in the Adirondack Mountains is painless. Lakes?
