Otter Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Yeah, come here to Otter Lake for a magnificent time. Looking for some flowing water? Try Otter Lake Outlet, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Moose River - Middle Branch. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lost Pond is next to Otter Lake, and the snow is magnificent at Woods Valley. This       lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sunset Inn, and if you come at the right time of year, Moose River offers some great whitewater. Summertime highs at Otter Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures                  at Otter Lake sink into the 0's. That right there is plenty of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Head up to McCauley Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; going for a hike on the Stone Dam Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Otter Lake gets lots of water; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Good hiking is available along the Twin Lakes Trail; Otter Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Kayuta Lake Campground is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
