    What a nice lake Otter Lake is. Get soaked paddling on Holmes Lake Outlet; Sandy Point is quite close. Man, is there heaps of cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Camping is available at Pine Lake Campground and RV Park; if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a magnificent choice.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Whitewater
 
   paddling is tremendous on Piseco Outlet; Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course is a tremendous golf course close by. On a fine day at Otter Lake you can take a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and Johnstown/Gloversville Super 8 Motel is a great spot to get some rest.
You clearly should like the Adirondack Mountains. It's a delightful idea to stop at Frie Flow, it's near Otter Lake; if you came for an overnight stay Campsite is a good place to
 
               camp. This lake is so wonderful. A striking lake like Green Lake in close proximity to Otter Lake is a good location to have a look at, and the panorama of Camelhump is scenic. Otter Lake is a wet site that gets a lot of precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Gloversville here at Otter Lake, and you'll come across a gorgeous lake called Stewart Lake. For the period of the warm months at Otter Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Otter Lake are in the 0's.

Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but  all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike....

Very friendly towns folk and this lake holds the New York State Record for a Large Mouth Bass caught in 1994. The lake is fed by many underground springs but is not ery deep. Morehouse Lake is completely on private property under the ownership of the Morehouse Lake Club which was founded in 1889 and also has within it's borderline Barto Lake and Mud Pond. The outlet stream is called Little Goldmine and runs southeasterly into the East Canada Creek near Powley Place....
