The Salmon Lake Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Oswego Pond, and McCauley Mountain is a fine local ski area. So much fun stuff to do at Oswego Pond, so little time. Get soaked paddling on Moose River - South Branch, and not far from Oswego Pond you'll locate Twitchell Lake which is a scenic lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable       things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. Near Oswego Pond you find the Big Deer Pond Trail which is a great hiking trail, and folks from Ogdensburg-Massena love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Silver Lake is in the vicinity, and OLD Forge Camping Resort is a wonderful local campground. On a pretty day you acquire a sight of Twitchell Mountain from Oswego Pond, and Oswego Pond is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day,                  Nicks Lake Campgrounds is a brilliant place to camp nearby. High temperatures at Oswego Pond through the summertime are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Oswego Pond tend to be in the 0's. Having a pleasant time in the Adirondack Mountains is painless.
